Route

Aaron has done plenty of research for all aspects of this trip, however we wanted a general highlight of places to see and things to do in each country so we are not tied down, plus how could  plan a trip this big?  We are just concentrating on Crossing the Latitudes in a Southerly direction for now.  We wanted to leave our route open to unforeseen locations.  Where we go the next day or week will be decided primarily by the research we do on the road and suggestions from friends and other travellers we meet along the way.  One of the primary objectives of this trip is to untie ourselves from the daily grind that we have now left and to follow the road to where it will take us day by day.  All of these countries have amazing Biospheres and Parks that have been set aside for good reason which we would like to visit.  If you have any suggestions please let us know and we will gladly appreciate them.

Mexico
Sayulita to see friends and good surf
Monarch Butterfly Biosphere Reserve, who doesn't want to see thousands of Monarchs?
El Cielo Cloud Forest, the northern most one in Mexico
Visit as many Mayan ruins that we can fit in with Palenque and Tulum being on the list

Belize
Not sure if we are going, will see when we are closer
Guatemala
Guatemala is one of the countries that we would like to spend the most time in due to the diversity, culture and affordability we will be here for couple of months at least
Tikal Ruins and Lake Peten
Laguna Lachua National Park for a little rest
Antigua for it's diverse culture
Lake Atitlan
Xela for some Spanish classes and home immersion
Honduras

El Salvador

Nicaragua

Costa Rica

Panama

Colombia

Venezuela

Ecuador

Peru

Bolivia

Brazil

Chile

Argentina
